ANnouncements Jan. 24 - Jan. 30
• INTERNSHIP: Halter breaking dairy cattle at the UC Davis Dairy. Undergraduates need to have some experience working with dairy cattle and should also be comfortable working with large animals. Requires a 6 hour commitment per week for both Winter and Spring Quarters. See below for details. For further questions, please contact Doug Gisi.
• The Cross Cultural Center is hiring for the 2016 – 2017 academic year. Apply here.

• VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Mercer Clinic will be at the Davis Farmer's Market from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 30. Please fill out the Google Forum if you are interested in helping before Wednesday, January 27 at 6:00 PM. You will get clinic priority if you regularly fundraise!.
• Want to artificially inseminate cattle? UC Davis Cattlemen’s Association is holding a clinic March 21 - 23. The clinic will be taught by veterinarians from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Lunch will be provided. How much is it? $400 but there is a UC Davis student discount price of $350. For more information and to sign up, please contact Coral Alberi.
• Mujeres Ayudando la Raza is excited to bring to you all Sugarlicious, an ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT DESSERT fundraiser on Tuesday, Jan. 26 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at 955 Cranbrook Ct. Apt. 189!
Sugarlicious is one of the club's quarterly food fundraisers that they host in order to raise money for community service events. Brownies, cakes, the very famous Inception Cookies (Oreo-stuffed chocolate chip cookies), and many more goodies to enjoy for just $5 presale tickets or $7 at the door. Do not fear, they do Venmo! For more information or presale tickets, please contact Liz (831)-444-5911, Jessuly (323)-217-4003, or any Mujer (you can also contact PSSD's Mujer Saralee). The Mujeres will be tabling all week at the MU! Please feel free to share the flyer! All proceeds go towards community service events, such as Migrant Center and Youth Conference. • BloodSource is back! On January 26 - January 27 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM BloodSource busses will be on both sides of the quad collecting blood.

Peer advisers work up to 10 hours a week, while office assistants work 20 hours a week (both are paid positions). A resume is required upon application completion. Both are due by Monday, February 8 at 12:00 PM in 1202 Meyer Hall. If you have any questions call (530-752-6118) or email Emma Martinez. Applications and position descriptions are found right below.

• Need a GE check? The College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Dean's Office (CAES) is holding drop-in advising hours every Wednesday from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM beginning this Wednesday (January 27) at the Student Recruitment and Retention Center (SRRC).
• UC LEADS application is due February 26. What is UC LEADS? A two year program for educationally and economically disadvantaged students pursuing degrees in science, mathematics, or engineering that fosters research experiences with faculty and provides graduate school preparation. • UC Davis Undergraduate Education is hosting Majors, Minors and More from 11 AM – 2 PM at the ARC Ballroom. Check out what minors and majors are offered at UC Davis. Also, learn more about how summer school and study abroad works!
• Support Mercer Clinic at the Habit from 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Twenty percent of the proceeds will benefit the clinic in order for them to continue to provide care for the pets of the homeless in Sacramento.
• ALL MEMBERS: Apartment Hunting? Over 50 apartment complex representatives and managers will be at the ARC Pavilion from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM to answer any questions you might have about leasing. There will be free food and prizes!
• As all of you know, PSSD is part of Students of Diverse Affiliations (SoDA). SoDA and Peer Education and Community Empowerment (P.E.A.C.E.) will be hosting a winter quarter social justice forum from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at 3201 Hart Hall. They will diving into topics like racism, diversity and much more. There will be FREE PIZZA & RAFFLE PRIZES ($50 Amazon gift card).

• Pre-Health Ambassador Network is hosting an event about professionalism as a pre-health student at 6:15 PM in Olson 151.

• Black Trans* & GNC Awareness Day featuring Joshua Allen. A workshop titled Organizing at the Intersections of Black Lives Matter & Gender Justice with an emphasis on Ending the Genocide against Black Trans and Gender Non-conforming Women, Femmes and Girls will be hosted at the ARC Ballroom from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. • PSSD’s Tour of UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine.
• PSSD is having a fundraiser at Blaze Pizza from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Come join fellow members and the PSSD board and eat some yummy pizza. IF YOU ATTEND, take a picture of your receipt and email it to PSSD President Nicole ([email protected]). It will allow you to get some priority in future events as well as get you a raffle ticket!
